Longmont Baseball League Philosophy
The philosophy of the Longmont Baseball League is:
- Teach the fundamental skills and rules regarding the game of baseball.
- Build player self-confidence and enjoyment of the game.
- Teach good sportsmanships and teamwork.
Competition and the development of a competitive spirit are important
elements of any sport, but winning games should be a secondary objective.
Recreational Leagues
All participants will receive, hat, shirt, socks and 5 discount cards to sell for $25 off the registration price. A $10 family discount is give to each additional family member playing in the same season.
5-6 Year Olds (T-ball)
5-6 year olds participate in a T-ball league. The league begins in late
May and concludes in July. The season consists of at least 8 games.
7-8 Year Olds (Coach Pitch)
7-8 Year olds participate in a coach pitched baseball league. The league
begins in late May and concludes in July. The season consists of at least
8 games.
9-10 Year Olds
9-10 year olds participate in a baseball league with modified rules.
The league begins in late May and concludes in late July. The consists
of 12 games. There is a season ending tournament and all-star selections
and game.
11-12 Year Olds
11-12 year olds participate in a baseball league with modified rules.
The league begins in late May and concludes in late July. The consists
of 12 games. There is a season ending tournament and all-star selections
and game.
13-14 Year Olds
13-14 year olds participate in a baseball league with modified rules.
The league begins in late May and concludes in late July. The consists
of 12 games. There is a season ending tournament and all-star selections
and game.
15-18 Year Olds
15-18 year olds participate in a baseball league with modified rules.
The league begins in late May and concludes in late July. The consists
of 12-14 games. There is a season ending tournament.
Competitive Leagues
Longmont Baseball League offers Division I, Division II (AAA), and AA competitive teams for ages 9-14. Most teams play a combination of league and tournament games. At the highest competitive level, Division I teams typically play 45-55 games per season. Division II teams play 35-45 games. AA teams will play in the mid to high 20's. The competitive season generally begins in March and ends in June or beyond. Tournament wins can extend the season and the game count based on state and national tournament berths.
